Florida's newest University is finally opening its doors to the public today.
Florida Polytechnic sits right along I-4 in Polk County, and features one of the most unique buildings in Tampa Bay.
It's called the Innovation, Science, and Technology Building.
If you've driven down I-4 through Polk County, you can't miss the massive white structure on the side of the road.
The school will hold a ceremony and an open house for the public today starting at 9:30 a.m. and it ends at 11:30 a.m.
There will even be a special pyrotechnic display over a nearby lake.
Several local officials will be there, along with Governor Rick Scott.
The campus opens for students next week, and the first day of classes is August 25th.
