Police: Burglary suspect put panties on his head to conceal identity

Posted: Updated:
ROME, Ga. - Rome Police have accused a man of trying to conceal his identity by putting a pair of panties on his head while he stole money from a fast food restaurant.

Investigators charged Andrew Quinton Self with burglary this week for the June 6 theft at a Long John Silver's restaurant in Rome.

The arrest warrant states Self wore a pair of panties on his head and socks on his hands but police were easily able to identify him because of the large leg hole in the underwear.

The warrant states Self had an employee's pass card and combination to the store safe.

Police allege Self returned to the store a second time and took an unknown amount of money.

The amount of money taken in the two burglaries totaled 678 dollars.

Police booked Self into the Floyd County Jail.
