PALM HARBOR (FOX 13) -

Police are focusing their hit-and-run investigation today on the man who owns a 1999 Chrysler 300.

The crash happened just before 10 p.m. Monday near Alderman and Belcher Roads. One person was taken to the hospital, and we're learning she was a passenger in that hit-and-run vehicle.

Investigators say the driver lost control of the Chrysler, rolled it, side-swiped another car, and then hit a power pole.

Ashely Love, 25, of Largo was ejected from the vehicle. She suffered serious injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver allegedly left her at the scene and fled on foot. The extent of his injuries are unknown.

There were three people in the car that was side-swiped. They had minor injuries.

Investigators are hoping Love can provide more information. FHP says they know the owner of the vehicle; they're just not sure if that was the driver. He is being called a person of interest.

They are asking the public to come forward if they saw anything in the area.
