Zachary Hulsey, 22, and Brettany Hamlin, also 22, held the victim down at knifepoint while Hulsey sexually battered her, police said.
It happened in October of 2012.
Pinellas Park Police officers began investigating the assault after reports of a 12-year old girl being the victim of a violent, prolonged sexual attack.
The girl was held at knifepoint and sexually battered for several hours by Zachary Hulsey, according to the Pinellas Park Police Department.
Investigators said Brettany Hamlin held the girl down and attempted to console her as she was being assaulted. Police said the victim was told she would be killed if she resisted.
Circuit Court Judge Cynthia Newton sentenced Hulsey to nearly 37 years in prison with a minimum term of 25 years. He was charged with false imprisonment, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, three counts of sexual battery on a child, and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He has also been designated a Violent Felony Sexual Predator.
