A Uhaul store manager in the Florida Keys got a surprise in one of his trucks -- a large boa constrictor.

Florida Fish & Wildlife officers responded to the call after the red tail boa turned up in the cab of one of the rental trucks.

According to FWC, it took 30 minutes for officers Mitchell Robb and John Conlin to wrangle the trespasser out of the truck. When they were done, they measured the snake to be 8 feet long.

The FWC officers turned the snake over to the SPCA.

Neither the snake nor the officers were hurt.

It's not clear if the snake was wild or an escaped pet. The FWC is asking for anyone who knows or has any information about the snake to contact them at (305) 470-6863.

Additionally, the FWC says that if you find a nonnative snake or other nonnative animal, please contact the FWC’s Exotic Species Hotline at 888-Ive-Got1 (888-483-4681) or report online at www.IveGot1.org.
