"We'd like to get him caught. He's done two; we have no doubt he'll do three or four or more till he's caught," said HCSO public information officer Larry McKinnon.
That's just the tip of the iceberg lately; we've seen a slew of other bank robberies. Last Monday, a guy in the cammo hat robbed the PNC bank on Bloomingdale in Brandon. Officials say he had a German accent.
Then there's one from June 13 at the Mid-Florida Credit Union on West Waters. The suspect in the orange vest wasn't there for a safety check, he demanded money from the clerk's till.
And then there was an attempted robbery in Hernando County at the Compass Bank on June 11.
The list goes on, but you get the picture.
"It's something that's been going on since the 1800's. Banks have always appeared to be more lucrative," McKinnon said.
But in reality, the penalties for a bank heist are much higher. You could be facing federal charges.
Officials encourage anyone who knows anything about the ‘Scream’ heist, or any other case, to contact authorities right away.
