OCALA (FOX 13) -

A missing child alert for two young children last seen in the Ocala area has been canceled and the case has been resolved, deputies say.

Investigators earlier said Lauren Rowe, 5, and Landyn Rowe, 2, had been last seen in Ocala, traveling with their great-grandmother.

According to Ocala police, the trio left Miami on Wednesday morning with the intention of going to the Panhandle to pick up a relative from the Department of Corrections there. They spent the night in Ocala with another relative, but their plans changed and they set out for Miami yesterday morning.

No one had seen or heard from them since, prompting the alert.

But just after noon today, the FDLE announced that the kids has been found and the alert was canceled. Ocala police say the kids' great-grandmother had apparently decided to spend the night at a relative's home before returning the kids home.
