NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - In 1994, after leading police on a slow-speed chase on Southern California freeways, former NFL star O.J. Simpson was arrested and charged with murder in the slayings of his ex-wife, Nicole, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.

On the day he was expected to turn himself in to authorities, Simpson took off in a white 1993 Ford Bronco driven by his friend, Al Cowlings.

The chase which was broadcast on LIVE television was watched by 95 million people.

The spectacle came to an end without violence at Simpson's home in Brentwood.

A fake beard, mustache and cash along with Simpson's passport where found in the Bronco.

Simpson was later acquitted in a criminal trial, but held liable in a civil trial. He is currently serving time in a Nevada prison.
