A grand jury has indicted two suspects in the shooting death of Riverview man last year.
Richard A. Russell, 19, was shot and killed on August 3.
One man, 19-year-old Garrett Jay Boone, was arrested and charged the next day.
Investigators say Russell went to see Boone for a drug transaction that evening.
While the two were speaking, two of Boone’s accomplices emerged from hiding, intending to rob Russell.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, shots were fired and Russell was hit. They did not say who fired the shots that killed Russell.
Thursday, they said the two other suspects were charged.
They are 22-year-old Christian White and 22-year-old Paul N. McDonald, Jr.
Each one faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted robbery.?
