Police have charged a man in connection with a violent robbery in Pinellas Park.
A woman was attacked in her car at an ATM on May 26.
A man came up and punched her in the face, then took off with her purse.
Police say that man was 18-year-old Steven Neidl. They say he confessed to the robbery, and told police he smoked "spice" before the attack.
Neidl was already in jail for an attempted burglary that police say he committed an hour after the robbery.
In that case, he walked into a home where a dad and his teenage son were sitting in the living room. Investigators say he didn’t realize anyone was home, and took off when he saw the two.
The homeowner called the police, described him and officers found him about a block away from the house.
The homeowner and the ATM victim both positively identified him.
Neidl is charged with burglary and robbery.
