BRANDON (FOX 13) -

The driver in a hit and run crash that injured a couple on a motorcycle turned herself in Thursday, authorities said.

Cheryl Denine Brown, 45, is in the Hillsborough County Jail.

Investigators say on May 15, Brown made a turn in front of the motorcycle David and Connie Linsday were driving along Bloomingdale Avenue and Bell Shoals Road.

They say the Lindsays were unable to stop and hit Brown’s car.

The couple had serious injuries, according to the sheriff’s office, and Brown fled the scene.

Investigators say they found Brown’s car under a tarp in the backyard of a house in Valrico.

She is charged with leaving the scene of a crash with serious injuries and driving with a suspended license.
