It started with a dream to be rid of an ex-husband, then deputies say it became a murder plot with an AK-47 as the murder weapon.
According to investigators, a Brooksville woman named Jessy Fuston, and two accomplices, boyfriend Nathan McKee and hitman Antwon Walton, are all behind bars after deputies say they caught them planning to kill Fuston's estranged husband.
"It's kind of shocking," said Fuston's neighbor, Norma Rivera.
Jessy Fuston and Nathan McKee are boyfriend and girlfriend.
An informant told deputies they were looking for someone to kill Fuston's estranged husband, Charley, because he had abused her.
He was charged with domestic violence in 2013, though it's unclear on whom.
The lovers allegedly hired their friend, Antwon Walton, to do the trick with an AK-47 and silencer.
"What we have here is what could be like a made for TV movie," said Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis.
Deputies say they have the three suspects on tape exchanging money, and talking.
The killing would happen Friday, after the estranged Fustons would meet to hand their children off to one another for the weekend.
Charley Fuston now says he saw Walton scouting last week's drop off.
"Thank God we were able to get involved in this case before there was a dead body," Nienhuis said.
The trio was arrested Wednesday at a meeting place on Cortez Road.
Fuston's neighbors are stunned, saying they recently saw the trio hanging out a lot. Just last week, they went to Norma Rivera's house to kill a spider that was inside, and helped in other ways.
"She either takes my son to the bus stop to school, or I take her son," said Rivera. "It's kind of shocking. Because she's pregnant.”
Fuston also has several other children.
FOX 13 has learned from DCF that she has been investigated for possible child abuse in the past. It is unclear where the kids are tonight, but she and her alleged co-conspirators are in the Hernando County Jail on $150,000 bond.
