Lulu app to let men see how women rate them

MYFOXNY.COM -

Lulu co-founder Alison Schwartz calls the decision to allow male users to check their scores on the man-reviewing app an incentive for all guys to improve.

"We've gotten thousands of e-mails from guys, saying how can I get my score, how can I get my score, I really want to see my score," she says. "If the guys do that, surely that's a great net gain for the ladies."

Right now, Lulu -- which calls itself "the first ever app for girls" -- only plans to let male users see their scores, tips on how to improve those ratings, and the analytics of their profile-views.

"Now men can get a little inside information on what women are thinking about them," says relationship expert Matt Titus.

But guys to whom we spoke wondered if this change might signal a future in which lulu allows men to rate the women who rate them.

"Absolutely not," Schwartz says. "Lulu remains at its core fundamentally committed to anonymous reviews of guys by girls and that's it."

In the past, male critics have called this objectifying and demeaning. Those we found said it seemed pretty fair.

"I think there are other apps that objectify women, so to have an app that gives the opportunity for women to objectify men is probably how it should be," one guy tells us.
