Police Search For Northeast Serial Robbery Suspects

Posted: Updated:

PHILADELPHIA-Police are looking for suspects who they believe held up a Bucks County bank on Tuesday and a Target last month.

Police are on high alert at shopping centers in the Northeast looking for a crew of gun-toting robbers on a crime spree that now spans 3-weeks. It includes at least three high profile armed robberies caught on tape. In each case, the suspects didn’t hesitate to show their weapons and make demands.

“They have a gun, they pointed it at a teller yesterday in the bank, walked right in pointed the gun right at her, same as the McDonalds,” said Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum.

The latest video released by police shows the suspects during an armed robbery Monday night at a McDonald's on the Boulevard. The video shows, the suspect make his way to a backroom flashing a gun, while a second bandit had an employee empty several cash registers.

They go into the office and steal multiple cash drawers with cash, then flee the parking lot back to Sandy Road, and escape in a small silver SUV,” said Lt. Rosenbaum.

Police now say these are the same suspects who held up the TD Bank on Street Road in Upper Southampton in Bucks County on Tuesday. Investigators say the suspects wore fake beards and one was wearing the same sweatshirt as a suspect at the McDonald's robbery.

"There's a distinctive sweatshirt, it's True Religion, it's up on the website,” said Lt. Rosenbaum.

Detectives have been tracking the gun-toting bandits since they held up the Target on the Boulevard in the Northeast last month after hiding in the men’s room until closing time. Police say in that robbery the suspects forced store employees to empty cash drawers at gunpoint, making off with $18,000.

"We're tracking down some leads and hopefully we'll get something,” said Lt. Rosenbaum.

The three robberies took place within a few miles of each other. So far no one's been hurt. Sources say the bank robbery occurred just minutes after an armored truck had left the bank after a cash pickup.
