ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) -

A Pinellas County sheriff's deputy has been arrested after reportedly daring a St. Petersburg police officer to take him to jail.

Deputy Jeffrey De Cresie was arrested Saturday night outside the Mahaffey Theater. The police report said his eyes were bloodshot and his speech was slurred.

He was apparently warned multiple times to stop shouting at his girlfriend. The report said he was arrested after allegedly daring the officer to do so.

He was charged with disorderly intoxication in a public place and was out on bond.
