How yoga can help you in the bedroom

Posted: Updated:
TAMPA (FOX 13) -

The heat's on in this hot yoga class, and that heat can make its way into the bedroom.

"It's very centered along the spine and hips, so it physically connects you deeply to this very primal movement of your body," explained Eric Wheeler, the yoga instructor.

Wheeler teaches classes at Evolation Yoga Studio in Tampa, along with his wife, Erin.

"Yoga means to find union, union of your body, your mind, your soul, spirit," Erin explained.

They believe yoga connects us physically and mentally, and that helps libido.

"Absolutely, oh my gosh, yeah. Because if you're not feeling good about yourself, you're not gonna want anyone to feel good about you either," Erin continued.

"When it comes to yoga, when it comes to kama sutra, or when it comes to tantric sex, you have to engage your brain and your brain is your biggest sex organ," Dr. Dae Sheridan offered.

Sheridan is a clinical sexologist. She says it's focus that helps us connect.

"It's about being aware and being present, and there's nothing more important than having that mindfulness when you're with your partner."
