NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Monica Lewinsky, the White House intern who had an affair with former President Bill Clinton while he was in office, has written an article for Vanity Fair magazine about the 'Lewinsky scandal.'

The now 40-year-old tells the magazine that she is "determined to have a different ending to her story."

Lewinsky allegedly had various sexual encounters with then-President Clinton in the Oval Office between 1995-1996. The affair lead to the impeachment of Clinton.

She says she decided to break her silence after a decade when she heard the story about Rutgers University freshman Tyler Clementi who committed suicide in 2010 after video of him secretly kissing another man was streamed using a webcam.

Lewinsky had spoken about the affair in the years following the scandal but has remained virtually quiet over the past 10 years.

"I, too, was suicidal," says Lewinsky. "Perhaps by sharing my story, I might be able to help others in their darkest moments of humiliation."

Nowadays, Lewinsky is focused on helping others who are victims of online humiliation and harassment by speaking on the topic in public forums.

The article will be available online at VanityFair.com on May 8 and on newsstands on May 13.

Burger chain Five Guys is testing the adage that everything tastes better with bacon. It is rolling out a customizable milkshake program and along with bananas, peanut butter, Oreo cookies, salted caramel, you can chose bacon.  Yes that's right: a bacon milkshake.
