This past weekend marked three years since a devastating EF4 tornado ripped through the northwest Georgia town of Ringgold.

The twister killed eight people and destroyed countless structures, including the area high school and middle school.

Veronica Long said she remembered the tornado hitting her home like a bomb, causing the walls to explode.

She lost part of her leg in the storm.

Her infant son suffered major brain injuries and her father was killed.

Many in Ringgold are worried as the prospect of more storms move into the area.
