Bradenton police arrest naked man holding bible

BRADENTON (FOX 13) -

Officers with the Bradenton Police Department caught a man walking around naked and holding only a bible.

He was reportedly seen with no clothes in the 1100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue West just after noon Saturday.

When officers tried stopping the man, he ran but was caught four blocks away after a struggle.

The man was baker acted and taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital.

BPD says he continued resisting and officials were forced to strap him to a stretcher.

He is undergoing medical evaluation at Manatee Memorial.

Officers filed a charge of exposure of sexual organs against the man.
