NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - A woman who took two, four-year old children from a backyard in Brooklyn says the incident was a misunderstanding.

Keren Cohen reportedly said she heard the children crying in the yard on 51st St. in Borough Park and decided to take them to a nearby park.

Video of two Jewish volunteer patrolmen posted to YouTube shows the woman with the children on Saturday afternoon. The men rescue the children and Cohen is later arrested and charged with trespassing and endangering the welfare of a child.

She was released on bond Sunday night.

Friends of Cohen say she is from Israel and did not know she was doing anything wrong when she brought the children to a park.
