Tesla Opens 100th Super Charge Station

Posted: Updated:
Hamilton, New Jersey (MY9NJ) -

In a world where gasoline is crucial for many people to drive their cars, one company is celebrating its cut from gas by opening its 100th super charge station right here in New Jersey. Tesla, a worldly renowned luxury electric car company, is taking the reins by installing yet another charging station so customers are able to fill up their battery much quicker than they would at home. Located in Hamilton, the new charging station caters to people like John Sergeant, a local Tesla owner.

“It’s the best car I've ever owned. After the test drive, I just decided that I wanted to own one," Sergeant said.

In terms of who is paying for the electricity going through the charging stations, a representative said it was likely being paid by the people who run the shopping center who are being recompensated to some extent by Tesla. Although this new charging station is a step in the right direction for electric drivers, not all will benefit from this new station. For those who own other electric vehicles, you will not be able to fill up at the Hamilton location due the different technology involved with Tesla's models.

After test driving a Tesla, no one can deny the sheer power located within its condensed electric battery. Although electric vehicles are still seen as unpractical by many, Tesla has done well to outdo the competition and retain its brand image as being a leader within the electric vehicle market. In recent weeks however, New Jersey passed legislation making it harder for companies like Tesla to sell cars directly from the manufacturer to citizens in the state. Many critics have said that the gas-car manufacturers and car dealer lobbyists are paying up to complicate Tesla's in-state sales model. Whether these claims are true or not, Tesla is doing well to retain its image as a leading competitor in car sales and its new charging station proves the company is not ready to give up on New Jersey just yet.

StubHub, which is a website that provides services for buyers and sellers for tickets to sporting events, concerts, and other live entertainment events, has been hacked. StubHub is getting a lot of bad press, but the site is really the victim here. The hackers have hacked accounts from other sites, and then used that information to get into the StubHub accounts.
