Suspect arrested in Plant City murder

Posted: Updated:
PLANT CITY (FOX 13) -

Police in Plant City have ended their search for a suspect in yesterday's deadly shooting, saying they have their man in custody.

He has been identified as 21-year-old Master Brown. He's accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Ha-Keem Alagawan during an argument Wednesday on South Maryland Avenue.

Police were searching the area overnight, even circling around a field near the intersection of Charlie Taylor Road and Midway Road early Thursday morning.

Police confirm there was some sort of chase and crash, and that a car was abandoned. The people inside may have fled from that scene.

Around 7:15 a.m., FOX 13's Shayla Reaves reported that police were leaving that area.

Shortly afterward, police said they had arrested Brown. There were two people with him when he was taken into custody. There's no word on what their involvement is.

Police say they found weapons inside the vehicle. He's like to face murder charges, a spokesman said.
