Bucs 2014 schedule released

Posted: Updated:
TAMPA (FOX 13) -

The Bucs start the season at home against a division team opening up in Raymond James against Carolina -- a team that knocked off the Bucs twice last year.

When you look at the schedule, what jumps out at you is three straight road games starting with a national game on the road in Atlanta. The Bucs are just one of four teams to play three straight games on the road -- which isn't easy in the NFL.

The second half of the season, the last eight games are difficult -- (not that they all aren't difficult because they are) but the start the second half of the schedule in Cleveland and the Bucs PR staff points out the last time this team was in Cleveland was back in 2006.

I like the old NFC Central matchups, the Bucs have when they use to be a part of that division years ago, the Central of course turned into the NFC North, and the Bucs play, Chicago, Detroit and Green Bay this season. It will be a lot nice to play a December 21st game in Raymond James against the Packers than it would be to head up to Green Bay and hit that frozen tundra in Lambeau Field.
