Police have arrested a man who is connected to a fire at a veterinary clinic in Tampa, but he's only facing battery charges right night.
The fire killed three cats, police say. Late Monday night, investigators arrested Terrod Arrington, who has been a suspect in the case.
According to police, Arrington caused several disturbances at the Animal Coalition of Tampa clinic on North Gilchrist Avenue last week, even pushing an employee during one encounter.
Saturday morning, police responding to an alarm at the building found a dog in the parking lot and a fire in the office. Investigators believe that Arrington may have released the dog before setting four fires in the building.
Tampa Fire Rescue extinguished the blaze, which caused $200,000 in damage and killed three cats.
Police already had a warrant for the 33-year-old stemming from the physical altercation with the ACT employee, and Arrington is also wanted on an aggravated assault warrant out of Maryland.
Arrington could face additional charges.
