Woman arrested for shooting at deputy

BRADENTON (FOX 13) - Manatee County deputies arrested a 24-year-old woman for attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.

At 5:20 a.m. Sunday, a deputy made a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Cortez Road West in Bradenton.

As the deputy was checking on the driver's information, the driver took off and crashed into a concrete wall.

Miller was standing outside the vehicle after it crashed.

Detectives say that's when she fired a round at one of the deputies.

Miller allegedly fired an additional two rounds and then ran away from the scene.

She was later found walking in the 2700 block of 46th Ave Dr W, Bradenton.

It's still unclear as to why Miller shot at the deputy.

Miller has been arrested several times in the past, including charges of battery on an officer.
