SARASOTA (FOX 13) - It would only take seconds before Tyran Young would witness the horrifying aftermath of this crash.

"I heard the car rev up. Then the car came flying down the road. I heard boom, boom, boom, the car had run into the house and sounded like a grenade," said Tyran Young.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Sarasota officers were less than ten seconds behind the car running on foot.

"They were keeping a visual eye on her and where she was going," said police spokeswoman Genevieve Judge.

Officers said 24-year-old Jakeilah Weeks was behind the wheel.

They said she broke into her ex-boyfriend's home and started fighting with him.

"She was upset over some situation," said Judge.

They tried stopping her, but she crashed into the bedroom of Eleanor Ball.

"Our officers witnessed the car go into the home right away and helped," said Judge.

Nearby neighbors woke up to the commotion.

"I kept saying the lady died the lady died the car is sitting on top of her," said Young.

Tyran and his twin brother Kyran recorded video after the crash and heard cries for help.

"The bed was kind of rolled up in the car,"said Tyran.

Ball retired from Sarasota Memorial Hospital after working 30 years.

She worked as an administrator at Truvine Missionary Baptist Church, volunteered with several organizations around the community and taught piano lessons.

"She was just beautiful. She was never a person that she could say nothing bad about," said Carolyn Hoosier.

Her cousin Carolyn Hoosier can't bare to look at the boarded up house where she died.

"I"m going to miss her. I'm going to amiss her," she cried.

She like many wonders.

"I don't have no anger, but I don't know why she did it," said Hoosier.

Why her life  had to end so tragically.

"She could have stopped and gave herself up and not did that.," she said.

Weeks faces charges of vehicular homicide, burglary, two counts of battery, petit theft and obstruction in connection to a burglary and deadly crash.
