A diabetic man fell ill and died shortly after he was pulled over for reckless driving in Tampa.
It happened around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon on Central Avenue.
The driver reportedly crossed the center lane and drove into oncoming traffic, hitting two cars before crashing to a stop.
Tampa police rushed to the scene and handcuffed the man after they say he became combative, but quickly noticed something was wrong.
Moments after the man was handcuffed, he stopped breathing.
Police performed CPR and were able to revive him.
He later died at the hospital from diabetic shock.
Police identified the man as 63-year-old as Arthur Green Jr., of Tampa.
The people in the cars he hit are expected to be OK.
Central Avenue stayed closed for several hours while police investigated the incident.
