Police arrested a man accused of firing a shotgun at their helicopter.
Thomas Henry Hearld, 56, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault of a police officer and shooting at an aircraft.
Hearld missed the chopper according to police, and no one was injured.
Around three Saturday morning, during routine air patrol, Tampa Police Pilot Mark McCann and TPD Observer Chris Shepherd noticed shots being fired in their direction.
Officers responded to Hearld's home and arrested him.
Neighbors heard the shots throughout the evening and ran outside when they heard police surrounding his home.
"[Hearld] was screaming 'Elvis help me I'm burning.' I don't know if he was talking about a guy named Elvis or Elvis Presley but that's what he was saying," Tina Daily explained.
Hearld was arrested in 2008 for DUI. During that stop, officers also charged him with having a short-barreled shotgun.
