Forget Generation Y or Z -- meet Generation S for Selfie!
We've become stuck on the selfie. It's exploded so much that experts have begun linking selfies with narcissism, addiction and mental illness.
Only one person typically matters in each shot.
Speaking of that, it should come as no surprise that selfies are apparently behind an increase in plastic surgery.
"The selfie taken at distance of arm length is not going to be a flattering picture," said Dr. Dan Diaco.
Dr. Diaco is a plastic surgeon in Tampa; he's seen nose jobs triple in two years.
"People are looking at their pictures. They're not the only ones looking at them, the whole world is, so people are more concerned about how they look," Dr. Diaco said.
And the obsession shows no signs of slowing down. "Selfie" was the word of the year in 2013. Today it's just as American as baseball itself.
