As if the Tampa Bay Rowdies weren't enough of a draw, soccer fans will get a special treat this weekend. The internationally known band 'Red Hot Chilli Pipers' is performing after the game on Saturday.
The Pipers brought their Scottish energy to Good Day Tampa Bay on Friday morning and offered two energetic previews of this weekend's performance.
"It's a bag-rock band. So it's a mix of the two: Rock music and bagpipe music," band member Willie Armstrong explained. "We integrate the two; we play rock music over traditional bagpipe tunes."
"This is a lot more contemporary than the traditional stuff, but it's great fun and it's been wildly accepted all over the world," added Craig Munro.
Saturday's game against FC Edmonton starts at 7:30 at Al Lang Stadium in downtown St. Pete.
