In "Rio 2," Jesse Eisenberg returns as city bird Blu, stepping out of his comfort zone and into the heart of the jungle bringing him closer to his wife Jewel and her long lost kin. Playing Jewel's father Eduardo, Andy Garcia definitely has the intimidation factor down.

MYFOXNY.COM -

A lot of "Hatha-hating" is still going around online. "Hatha" as in Anne Hathaway. The actress stars in "Rio 2," or at least her voice does. I only spent about seven minutes with her in Miami to talk about "Rio 2" but in that time I developed a whole new appreciation for here. And here's why.

Life isn't all that different for Anne Hathaway after accepting Hollywood's most coveted award last year.

"It's not like the dishes wash themselves because you have an Oscar, or the laundry gets folded," she said in an interview. "You still have to live."

That was when you couldn't go online or turn on the TV without hearing something about Hathaway -- and it wasn't always nice. Her talent was never in question, but even I thought she sounded somewhat affected or overly rehearsed when the cameras were on. But after meeting her face to face I'm eating some humble pie.

She immediately engaged me with a great sense of humor and genuine warmth that goes against everything the Internet likes to Hatha-hate her for. She really is that nice.

"I usually choose roles that aren't like me," she said. "I have learned a lot about life through certain roles, and certain roles have made me more kind, or more patient or more grateful."

After starring in two of the most successful films of 2013 she deserves to lie low.

"Rio 2" is her first big mainstream movie in over two years.

This November she'll appear in "Interstellar," a mysterious new science fiction movie from director Christopher Nolan starring Matthew McConaughey. "Interstellar" is the movie I can't wait to see this year. And it is so hush-hush that we don't even know what kind of character Hathaway will play in the film. But between the director of the "Dark Knight" trilogy and Oscar winners Hathaway and McConaughey, I can't imagine it will be anything short of mind-blowing.
