Search Goes On For Missing Flight 370

Posted: Updated:

Families of the passengers on Flight 370 are staying optimistic as details on the flight remain mysterious.

It's been more than three weeks since the ominous loss of the plane, the last communication from which ended with "Good Night, Flight 3-7-0."

The Malaysia Airlines plane disappeared March 8 on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Still, the search rages on as coverage of the issue starts to fade.

Search planes continue to return to Perth, Australia with the same news as other flights before them: No trace of the flight. But time is extremely crucial with black box batteries lasting about a month.

Despite the chilling loss, families and friends of the passengers remain hopeful that their loved ones are OK.

"We have nothing concrete yet. You cannot grieve for someone unless you have something concrete," says Danica Weeks, wife to New Zealand passenger Paul Weeks.

The flight had 239 passengers and remains lost. A Colorado-based group offered a search tool for the public very soon after the disappearance. The site allows anyone to go on and search the Indian Ocean for anything related to the airplane.
