A wealthy Florida couple is accused of accepting welfare money to fund their lavish lifestyle.

Colin Chisholm III and his wife, Andrea, faced a judge in Fort Lauderdale Tuesday. The pair is accused of taking more than $165,000 from programs designed for the poor and needy.

Officials say they collected benefits from both Minnesota and Florida from 2005 to 2012. During those years: The Chisholms owned a yacht, lived in a waterfront home in Florida, and supposedly had millions in the bank.

Police in The Bahamas arrested the couple after their visas had expired. They are expected to be extradited back to Minnesota.
