The mother of a toddler who was ejected from an SUV on Interstate 85 has been charged.

GSP say Moore's Lincoln Navigator was traveling north on I-85 when the driver lost control of the vehicle.  The Navigator struck the center median wall and the child was ejected. Two-year-old Kiara Brooks was located on the opposite side of the expressway.

Brooks was released from Egleston on Sunday with scratches.

However, according to investigators, Brooks was strapped into a child safety seat but the straps were loose fitting and the right side strap was not latched.
