A Palm Harbor woman was arrested and charged with assaulting the person who showed up to help her.
Police say 21-year-old Ashley Cochran was involved in a single-vehicle crash late Sunday night. She apparently had been drinking and struck several street signs and a power pole near Fort Harrison Avenue and Mohawk Street.
It triggered a small power outage in the area.
Fire and Rescue says a paramedic showed up to the scene to help her, but Cochran became angry and assaulted them.
She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on battery charges. A DUI charge may come later once blood work returns.
