Four people were killed in a violent head-on collision in eastern Hillsborough County early this morning.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers tell FOX 13 that a BMW lost control on Highway 60, crossed a median and hit a speed limit sign before slamming into a Cadillac just east of State Road 39.
There was one person inside the BMW, later identified by FHP as 31-year-old Rolando Silva of Plant City.
Three people were inside the Cadillac. Joseph Allie Vizcarrondo, 26, was driving. His passenger were Lauren Elizabeth Phillips, 19, and Jenna Dawn Kelly, 25.
Troopers say no one in either vehicle was wearing seatbelts. All four died at the scene.
Troopers are now investigating why the BMW lost control, and if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
