The man accused of stabbing and running over a homeless man outside a Tampa church was found not guilty by reason of insanity
Michael Marston, 35, has now been placed in a state hospital.
Asst. public defender Jennifer Spradley told the judge several doctors had evaluated Marston and concluded he was insane at the time of the offense. The Hillsborough State Attorney's office did not protest the insanity finding.
In August 2012, Marston brutally stabbed Rolando Rivera-Arroyo and ran him over multiple times with his car outside The Christ the King Church.
Rivera-Arroyo was homeless, and it was never determined what led to the attack.
