ATLANTA -

Police say a man tried to lure a 12-year-old girl into his truck while she was waiting at a bus stop in southeast Atlanta earlier this month. They released a sketch of the man on Saturday.

The Atlanta Police Department says they don't believe this man is linked to the other incidents this past week.

They say the girl was waiting for the bus near Jonesboro and Constitution roads around 8 a.m. on March 4, 2014. The victim told police that a man drove up in a white box truck and told her to get inside. She was able to run away and the man drove off.

Police describe the man as being in his 60s, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a thin build. He has blue eyes and brown with gray hair including a goatee or beard.

The truck had no notable markings on it. It was described as being dirty with papers scattered across the dash.

Anyone who might recognize the man in the sketch or has further information is asked to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
