Girls injured in deadly crash released from hospital

Posted: Updated:
POLK CITY (FOX 13) -

Two young girls badly injured in a deadly crash in Polk County last week are out of the hospital this morning.

Both were critically injured in the wreck last week. That's the same accident that killed their parents, Justin and Jaronda Sims and their 5-year-old brother.

They're recovering physically, but emotionally, it's going to be a long road.

No one in the car was wearing seat belts, when their car ran a stop sign in Polk City and hit a semi-truck.

Another child in the car was strapped into a car seat. She was not seriously hurt.
