A band of nasty weather soaked St. Patrick's Day celebrations in the Tampa Bay area today, and may continue to dampen celebrations this evening.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for the Bay area just afternoon, and strong storms prompted a few severe warnings.
Reports of minor damage included downed power lines in a few locations around the area.
By 4:15, the threat of tornados had diminished enough for the NWS to drop the tornado watch for the northern counties.
Still you'll want to keep our radar close at hand this evening.
