Self Defense Shooting? Jury makes decision

Posted: Updated:

A Bradenton man will spend at least 25 years in prison, for killing a man outside a nightclub.

It happened 2 years ago, at "DaVinci's" in Bradenton.

Investigators say "Javier Aguilar" got in a fight with "Natividad Faudoa".

Faudoa accidentally bumped a bottle off Aguilar's table.

Both men started fighting, and they were kicked out of the club.

That's when Aguilar pulled out a gun and fired.

His lawyers say he acted in self-defense, but the jury didn't agree.

He was convicted of second degree murder with a firearm.

Aguilar is now awaiting sentencing.

He faces a minimum of 25 years in prison.
