BROOKSVILLE (FOX 13) -

A small plane crashed in Brooksville this morning, but there were no injuries.

County officials say a Cessna 172 crash was reported at the Brooksville-Tampa-Bay Regional Airport at around 10:45 a.m.

Two people were on board and reportedly refused medical treatment.

The plane was registered to C&G Aircraft Parts out of Miami and was flying in from Miami International, according to the Flightaware.com website.

There was damage to the left wing, landing gear and propeller.

The cause of the crash was not immediately available.

Airport officials say a new emergency plan allowed them to get help to the scene faster.

The runway where the crash happened was back open at 12:15.
