One of the most crowded spring break destinations according to Travel and Leisure magazine is Cancun. But over the weekend, a 22-year-old from Florida was robbed and murdered while visiting Cancun with his brother.
Craig Taylor's body was found on the side of a road. His brother says they got into a fight at a gay bar over drink prices. Taylor's credit card was taken away and he was kicked out. Outside, Mexican authorities say he was strangled to death and his wallet was stolen.
Back home in Kissimmee, his cousin says the family can't believe the news.
"Every day we just wake up and ask, how did this happen?" Said Ivori Nesbitt. "We just still don't believe it because we all just saw him like yesterday." she said.
Prosecutors are questioning five employees from the bar, but no one has been arrested. Taylor's body has been released to his brother and the family is working with the US Embassy in Mexico to bring them home.
Another college student has disappeared while on spring break in Panama City Beach. 21-year old Reny Jose hasn't been seen since around 7 p.m. Monday. Deputies say the Rice University student arrived last Saturday with friends. They were renting a beach-front home. His clothes and some personal items were found in a nearby garbage can.
