Judge: Casey won't have to talk about Caylee during deposition

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

A Tampa bankruptcy judge has ruled that Casey Anthony will not be forced to answer questions in a deposition about what happened to her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

However, lawyers for Zenaida Gonzales will still have a chance to grill Anthony under oath.

Gonzalez is suing Anthony for defamation. Her lawyers will be able to question Anthony as to why she made up a story in which she accused a nanny named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez of kidnapping her daughter.

In a January deposition, Anthony admitted to lying about "Zanny the Nanny," and said neither the nanny nor the woman who is suing her had kidnapped Caylee.  Anthony then refused to answer attorneys' questions about where Caylee was when she made up the kidnapping story.

Gonzalez's lawyers want to establish Anthony had malicious intent to implicate Gonzalez in the disappearance of her daughter.

A date for the new deposition has not yet been set.
