An Indiana mother got a big surprise when she went to the emergency room with sharp abdominal pains.
She left with a baby boy.
Mandy Bachelor thought she needed an appendectomy so, after working a full eight hour shift at an assembly plant on her feet, she headed to the hospital.
She says her body never showed any signs of pregnancy but once she arrived, she got a big surprise.
"I was very shocked," Bachelor said.
Her son weighed in at just over seven pounds.
"They thought maybe she had gallstones," new dad Josh Cox said. "And then in a few minutes her water burst everywhere."
The mother and father of three says they are thankful for friends and family who rushed out to purchase things a baby would need while they were still in the hospital.
They had previously given away all of their baby furniture in December because they thought they were "done having babies."
