After 18 years of showcasing the largest collection of vintage airplanes in the world, Fantasy of Flight will close to the public in five weeks.
The company's owner, Kermit Weeks, said money and location led to his decision.
"I think part of our dilemma is that we're not quite a destination," said Weeks.
"Everybody knows exactly where we're located, and everybody knows the name because they drive by on I-4, but nobody knows what we are," Weeks explained.
Weeks will use the facility for corporate meetings, events and weddings.
He does have future plans to bring back another company similar to Fantasy of Flight, but doesn't have a time frame for doing so.
Half of Weeks' 65 employees will be laid off, but he said he will help them find new jobs and opportunities.
Fantasy of Flight will officially close April 15th.
