'Real Housewives' stars plead guilty to fraud charges

Teresa and Joe Giudice, stars of the reality TV series "Real Housewives of New Jersey", pleaded guilty on Tuesday in Newark federal court to mortgage and bankruptcy fraud charges.

The Giudices agreed to a deal that is expected to send them both to prison.  Under federal guidelines, Joe Giudice faces a potential sentence of 37 to 46 months and Teresa Giudice could get 21 to 27 months

The couple arrived at the courthouse and did not speak to reporters on their way in to face U.S. District Judge Esther Salas at 10:30 a.m.

The couple were charged last year in a 41-count indictment that accuses them of lying to banks for years in order to win millions of dollars in mortgages and other loans and then hiding assets and income during a two-year bankruptcy proceedings.

Joe Giudice is accused of not filing federal tax returns between 2004 to 2008 despite earning $1 million over that time period.

The Montville couple previously requested separate trials, but prosecutors reportedly required both of them to plead guilty to take the deal.

    The so-called 'knockout game' where a person punches another unsuspecting person has made its way to Hackensack, New Jersey. Police say one assailant attacked three people all in the same day. Surveillance video shows the athletically built suspect punch a man in the face and stroll away. The man fell to the ground. Two other assaults took place within less than 15 minutes in the areas of Essex Street, Summit Avenue and Beech Street on Monday night.
