Zoo hopes sea lions make a splash

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

We're getting a sneak peek at Lowry Park Zoo's new show, Sea Lion Splash.

For a limited time, the sea lions will be doing daily presentations. The zoo says they will charm the audience and perform tricks.

Trainers say the real goal is to educate people about how to keep the sea lions' environment clean and full of fresh fish to eat.

But, there's no denying these guys are hilarious.

"Every sea lion has his own personality. Some of them are, you know, a little bit grouchy; other ones are more, 'Hey I wanna do my own thing.' Of course the little ones they do whatever they want to do and actually most of the time the sea lions do whatever they want to do," offered the zoo's Marco Peters.

You can see it in person starting Saturday. Tickets are $2 in addition to zoo admission.
