Five more grocery stores will soon be closing their doors for good as part of the buyout of Sweetbay by the parent company of Winn-Dixie.
Sweetbays in Dade City and Zephyrhills will be closing, while Winn-Dixies in St. Pete, Tarpon Springs, and Seffner will also be closed.
The company cited geographic proximity to other stores for the closures.
All remaining Bay Area Sweetbay stores will be turned into Winn-Dixies as early as March 22. The process is expected to be complete by the end of May.
