Rangers are scheduled to meet and discuss Pinellas Trail safety this afternoon.
The meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Village in Largo. It comes one day after officers stopped a woman driving recklessly, using the recreational trial as a road. She reportedly reached speeds up to 50 mph before officers managed to stop her truck.
Earlier this month, a gunman attacked and robbed a couple. The crook punched the female victim in the face and stole her bike.
Officials are hoping to keep crimes like these from happening again, so that's why they'll meet on the issue today.
